Update from EARS
Wow, it has been way too long since we have posted and will do better to keep you all updated on EARS happenings. We are a no-kill, no-cage non-profit animal rescue that survives solely on donations. Our board members and volunteers have enormous hearts and are truly dedicated to helping precious pets find "forever homes".
Donations of Friskies dry and canned food, cat litter, bleach and paper towels are needed on a daily basis. Assistance with medical expenses is gratefully appreciated, with over 60 pets in our care, we must keep them healthy and up-to-date on all vaccines. As you can imagine our vet bills are high and we appreciate the community coming together to help pay down these costs.
We do have Pet Food Pantry. Donations of cat and dog food are accepted at EARS and we donate this food to help pet owners in our community feed their pets. Everyone needs a helping hand now and then.
Our Re-Sale Store has been a big help in raising much needed funds. We are thankful to all the people that donate to our store and to all of those who shop their. All purchases go directly to the animals and sales are all tax-free plus a tax write-off.

Volunteers are always needed. If you have been looking for a way to help your community we would love to have you volunteer at EARS. It is so rewarding helping precious pets.

We want to welcome and thank Carry Robinson from Four Paws Only grooming, 1945 Tamiami Trail Ste. C, Venice, Fl for donating her time and talents this Saturday at our Pampered Pets event. We the generousity of local groomers we are able to hold this event twice a month. Englewood Animal Rescue Sanctuary is asking the community for help. The sanctuary
is lacking the funding that it needs in order to function. Vet bills, utilities, rent, pet
food and the sheer number of animals that they rescue on a weekly basis is at peak levels,
yet the donation dollars are at an all-time low.
EARS is made up of volunteers that have full-time jobs, homes, families and pets of their
own to care for, but they are driven by compassion to alleviate suffering where they find
it and to find loving homes for these unwanted animals. Most animals that end up in a rescue
shelter are not the picture of health and veterinary costs to rehabilitate them can be astronomical.
That money usually comes exclusively from the pockets of these volunteers. They need a larger
commitment from the community.
Animal rescue requires a considerable commitment of personal time and resources and is necessary
because some owners are unwilling or unable to commit to the responsibility they have to their pets.
Unfortunately, with the state of the economy, the situation has become severe. More animals
are finding themselves abandoned on our community's streets. Also, with owners not spaying
or neutering their pets, an unprecedented number of tiny kittens are being left to fend for themselves.
Please help EARS continue this important work. Help a cat or dog get a second chance. Please donate today!

Tis the season to deck out the halls. Before you head off to a retail store please stop by Rascal's Resale Shop. We have a shop full of beautiful holiday decor. Everything you need to make your home festive. Lights, ornaments, stockings, cards, wrapping paper, boxes, gift bags, dishware.

Heidi is a 3 month old spayed female kitten with an incredible face. Heidi has large round eyes and soft gray and white fur. She has lived with other cats.
